Portsmith Man Found Guilty of Selling Crack Cocaine

SEPT 29—Concord, NH…A Concord man was sentenced to 37 months of imprisonment for distribution of crack cocaine.

Mark R. Trouville, Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in New England; Chief Michael Magnant, Portsmouth Police Department and United States Attorney Tom Colantuono, announced that Charles MARBURY, of Portsmouth New Hampshire, was sentenced today to 37 months in federal prison by United States District Court Judge Joseph DiClerico.

MARBURY pleaded guilty before judge DiClerico on June 24, 2003, to the distribution of "crack" cocaine. His prison sentence will be followed by (3) years of supervised release, which will be monitored by the U.S. Department of Probation

MARBURY was arrested on March 19, 2003, as part of "Operation Streetsweeper" in the seacoast area. U.S. Attorney Colantuono said, "This case should send a message to drug dealers in the seacoast region that law enforcement will aggressively target and remove illegal drug activity and will send offenders to state and federal prisons."
