Boston, Ma……The DEA New England Field Division teamed up with the Partnership for a Drug Free America to promote drug education through the Boston media.
During July, New England Field Division's Assistant Special Agent in Charge Rodney G. Benson delivered the message that DEA New England has teamed up with the Partnership for a Drug Free America (PDFA). ASAC Benson along with PDFA President and CEO Steve Pasierb and regional representative Steve Cline visited Boston television stations WCVB Channel 5, WFXT FOX 25, WBZ Channel 4, the WB Channel 56 and WHDH Channel 7.
During these visits ASAC Benson gave the television station managers a summary on the drug issues that are a concern to DEA in Boston. PFDA President Pasierb talked about the PFDA public service announcements and explained that research supports that the more children see these public service announcements the less likely these children are to use drugs.
Station managers were enthusiastic to hear DEA's insight into the drug issues facing Massachusetts and were interested in the PDFA mission. The station managers were truly appreciative of the DEA, PDFA message. The DEA and PDFA will continue these joint media visits throughout the New England Field Division.
