Fairview Heights Man Sentenced On Crack Cocaine Offenses

JUN 14 -- (EAST ST. LOUIS, IL) - A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced that MODJET BROWN, age 29, of Fairview Heights, was sentenced in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois, to 18 months’ imprisonment, 4 years supervised release, a $350 fine and a $100 special assessment fee.

BROWN pled guilty on January 22, 2010, to an indictment charging him with two counts of distribution of 5 or more grams of crack cocaine. The offenses occurred in March and April of 2009.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel T. Kapsak.
