Release Cahokia Men Sentenced For Conspiracy To Manufacture Methamphetamine MAY 24 -- (EAST ST. LOUIS, IL) - A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced today that on May 17, 2010, LOYD W. TUTOR, SR., age 52, of Cahokia, Illinois, was sentenced in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois. TUTOR was sentenced to 190 months imprisonment, a $875 fine, and five years supervised release. TUTOR had previously pleaded guilty to a one count federal Indictment, which charged that from about June 2008, until August 11, 2009, TUTOR and others conspired to knowingly and intentionally manufacture more than 500 grams of methamphetamine. The investigation in this case was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Postal Inspection Service, United States Marshal Service, Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and Chester Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney George A. Norwood. |
