Four
Defendants Sentenced for Meth Conspiracy in Stone, Taney Counties
SPRINGFIELD,
MO – Preston L. Grubbs, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug
Enforcement Administration St. Louis Division Office, and Todd P.
Graves, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri,
announced today that four co-defendants have been sentenced in federal
court for participating in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
in Stone and Taney counties.
Kelly
R. Flow, 25, and Lisa R. Miller, 38, both of Rockaway Beach, Missouri,
April D. Abbott, 37, of Hollister, Missouri, and Tracy L. Morrison,
37, address unknown, were sentenced in separate hearings before United
States District Judge Gary A. Fenner on Wednesday. Flow was sentenced
to 14 years in federal prison without parole. Miller was sentenced
to eight years and four months in federal prison without parole.
Abbott was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison without parole.
Morrison was sentenced to 12 years and seven months in federal prison
without parole.
Each
of the co-defendants pleaded guilty to participating in a conspiracy
to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine from June 2003
to October 17, 2004. A fifth co-defendant, Philip D. Myers, 33, address
unknown, plead guilty on July 15, 2005, and awaits sentencing.
Flow,
who pleaded guilty on July 13, 2005, admitted that she received crystal
methamphetamine from a co-conspirator and distributed it in the Branson,
Missouri, area. Flow also admitted that the amount of methamphetamine,
including her relevant conduct, was more than 500 grams but less
than 1.5 kilograms.
Miller,
who pleaded guilty on July 14, 2005, admitted that she received crystal
methamphetamine from a co-conspirator, then redistributing it to
others.
Abbott,
who pleaded guilty on July 12, 2005, admitted that she received crystal
methamphetamine from Miller and another co-conspirator and distributed
it in the Branson area.
Morrison
pleaded guilty on October 19, 2005, to his role in the methamphetamine
conspiracy.
This
case is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney
Kimberly R. Weber Dean. It was investigated by the Drug Enforcement
Administration, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and COMET (the
Combined Ozarks Multijurisdictional Enforcement Team).
