St.
Tammany Parish Men Plead Guilty To
Distributing Crack Cocaine

- RICKY WILSON, age 33, and BRIAN PURVIS,
age 28, both residents of St. Tammany
Parish, Louisiana, pled guilty in federal
court today before U. S. District Judge
Kurt D. Engelhardt to federal drug distribution
charges, announced U. S. Attorney Jim
Letten.
According
to the factual basis, WILSON and PURVIS
admitted that on February 1, 2008, they
distributed five grams or more of cocaine
base (crack). WILSON and PURVIS face a
possible maximum sentence of forty (40)
years imprisonment, a fine of up to $2
million and four (4) years of supervised
release following any term of imprisonment.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 3, 2010.
The
case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement
Administration. The case is being prosecuted
by Assistant U. S. Attorney Theodore Carter.
