Red
Ribbon Week Activites
OCT
26 -- On October 26, Special Agent George Cazenavette visited
Kate Middleton School in Gretna, Louisiana as part of Red Ribbon
Week activities. Special Agent Cazenavette has visited Kate Middleton
several times and it is always a pleasure. The importance of choosing
friends wisely and being a positive role model was stressed to the
children. The children were also given a presentation that emphasized
the fact that health bodies do not need drugs.

On
October 24th and 25th, S/A Cazenavette visited all the elementary schools
in West Carroll Parish, Louisiana (Forest, Oak Grove, Epps, Pioneer,
Kilbourne, Goodwill and Fiske Union). DEA Partnered with West Carroll
Partners in Prevention and outfitted all 4th, 5th and 6th grade students
in West Carroll Parrish with a Junior Agent red tee shirt for Red Ribbon
Week. The children were given a brief history of Red Ribbon Week and
the importance of making good decisions and remaining drug free was
reinforced. Also visited was Northside Elementary School in East Carroll
Parish. This was arranged by Toni Shumate of West Carroll Partners
in Prevention and Carolyn Robinson of LSU/Southern Ag Center.
