U.S. Border Patrol Officer Arrested on Federal Drug Charge

Special Agent in Charge, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Miami
Field Division and Paul I. Perez, United States Attorney for the Middle
District of Florida, announced the arrest of Tony Henderson. Henderson,
is an officer with the United States Border Patrol, stationed in Jacksonville,
Florida. The arrest was based upon the filing of a criminal complaint
in federal court which charges Henderson with distributing a quantity
of marijuana to an individual on December 10, 2005 in Baker County.
According to the criminal complaint, Henderson arranged the marijuana
transaction by telephone with another individual, set the price of
the illegal drugs and arranged for the transaction to occur at Henderson's
residence. If convicted, Henderson faces up to 5 years' imprisonment,
a $250,000 fine and a period of supervised release of at least 2 years.
This investigation
was conducted by the DEA Miami Field Division Gainesville Resident
Office, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector
General, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Immigration and
Customs Enforcement, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and
the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.
