Sell
Drug
Paraphernalia

Attorney
Tom
Colantuono
announced
that
Melvin
Rosario,
age
37,
of Lawrence,
Massachusetts
was
sentenced
today
in U.S.
District
Court
in connection
with
a scheme
to sell
drug
paraphernalia
in October,
2006.
During
a hearing
before
Senior
U. S.
District
Judge
Joseph
A. DeClerico,
Jr., Rosariowas
sentenced
to a term
of 8 ½ months
in prison
and placed
on probation
for one
year.
Rosario
had previously
admitted
guilt
to conspiracy
for his
role in
the sale
of a 1988
Jaguar
XJ6 automobile
containing
an electronically
operated
hidden
storage
compartment,
which
Rosario
knew was
primarily
intended
and designed
for use
in concealing
controlled
substances.
The
successful
prosecution
of this
case resulted
from the
efforts
of the
Drug Enforcement
Administration.
