of Connecticut,
today
announced
that
TALIFERRO
BROWN,
age
32,
of Main
Street,
Danbury,
Connecticut,
was
sentenced
yesterday,
May
30,
by United
States
District
Judge
Stefan
R. Underhill
in Bridgeport
to 132
months
of imprisonment,
followed
by five
years
of supervised
release,
for
possessing
with
intent
to distribute
cocaine
base
(“crack
cocaine”).
BROWN
pleaded
guilty
to the
offense
on May
3, 2006.
According
to documents
filed
with the
Court
and statements
made in
court,
on October
31, 2005,
a substantial
cache
of narcotics
was seized
by Danbury
Police
from a
vehicle
driven
by BROWN
after
he was
stopped
for a
traffic
violation.
The items
recovered
included
105.8
grams
of crack
cocaine,
29 grams
of heroin,
and 32
grams
of powder
cocaine,
and drug
paraphernalia.
This
case was
investigated
by the
Drug Enforcement
Administration
and the
Danbury
Police
Department. |
