Man Sentenced To Five Years In Federal Prison On
Federal Drug, Gun Convictions
NOV
29 -- June W. Stansbury, Special Agent in Charge of the
Drug Enforcement Administration in New England and Kevin J. O’Connor,
United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced
that JOSE SANCHEZ, age 25, formerly of 13 Moss Avenue, Danbury, Connecticut,
was sentenced today by United States District Judge Janet C. Hall
in Bridgeport to 60 months of imprisonment.
On
February 13, 2006, SANCHEZ pleaded guilty to conspiring to possess
with intent to distribute crack and powder cocaine, possession of more
than 50 grams of crack cocaine and possession a firearm in furtherance
of drug trafficking crime.
SANCHEZ
will be deported to the Dominican Republic following service of his
term of imprisonment.
This
matter was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and
the Danbury Police Department. |
