Brideport Woman Pleads Guilty To Federal Cocaine Distribution Charge

June W. Stansbury, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration in New England and Kevin J. O’Connor, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, today announced that ANNE IANNIELLO, age 41, formerly of 409 Brewster Street, Bridgeport, pleaded guilty yesterday, July 13, before United States District Judge Mark R. Kravitz in New Haven to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, cocaine.

According to documents filed with the Court and statements made in court, between July 2003 and June 30, 2005, IANNIELLO conspired to possess 500 grams or more of cocaine, which she then distributed. In pleading guilty, IANNIELLO admitted that purchased cocaine from three different sources and resold the cocaine to support her cocaine addition.

The evidence establishing IANNIELLO’s participation in the conspiracy included tape recordings of phone conversations, videotapes of cocaine purchases and statements of cooperating witnesses.
Judge Kravitz has scheduled sentencing for October 5, 2006, at which time IANNIELLO faces a mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of five years, a maximum term of 40 years and a fine of up to $2,000,000.
