The Police Chiefs Association of Rockland County Recognizes the New York Division Joint Drug Enforcement Task Force

plaqueThe Police Chiefs Association of Rockland County is an organization that attempts to promote an atmosphere that encourages a good working relationship between all of the various law enforcement agencies that do business in Rockland County. The membership consist of all present Town/Village Police Chiefs, the Sheriff, the District Attorney, private sector security, as well as members of federal investigative agencies who interact with their departments.

Members of the New York Drug Enforcement Task Force, were recognized at the association's November luncheon for "the cooperation, assistance and contributions they have made to the various law enforcement agencies in Rockland County whom are charged with the task of combating the flow of illegal drugs and narcotic substances into our country".

John Gilbride, Associate Special Agent in Charge of the NYDETF, addressed the audience and Kenneth Cully, Deputy Inspector, NYPD, provided a powerpoint presentation showcasing the NYDETF from it's inception in 1970 thru present day operations. Claire Mulcahy, Captain NYSP thanked those in attendance for their continuing support and assistance to law enforcement.

The organization's president Kevin Kilduff, Chief of Police, Clarkstown Police Department and vice president Kevin Nulty, Chief of Police, Town of Orangetown Police Department presented a plaque to the representatives of the NYDETF and stated "We look forward to working with them in the future on issues related to community safety, drug abuse prevention and homeland security".
