Drug Trafficking and Middle Eastern Terrorist Groups: A Growing Nexus?

JUL 18 -- (WASHINGTON) Michael A. Braun,  DEA Chief of Operations, spoke about Drug Trafficking and Middle Eastern Terrorist Groups: A Growing Nexus? at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy in Washington, DC  on July 18, 2008.   His presentation touched on the growing nexus  between international drug trafficking organizations and  international terrorism.  Mr. Braun  focussed on  a new hybrid organization funded by international drug trafficking and dedicated to terrorism  -- the face of organized crime in  the  21st century.
