Twelve arrested in North Sound drug trafficking organization

SEATTLE - Twelve members of a drug trafficking group distributing fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, and cocaine throughout the Puget Sound region were arrested today following a year-long investigation and two grand jury indictments.  The members of the conspiracies engaged in trafficking activities from Mexico, through California and Oregon, and into the North Puget Sound region.  Those arrested today

Drug dealer receives 12 year sentence for fentanyl overdose death

SAN DIEGO – Federal District Court Judge Gonzalo P. Curiel today sentenced defendant Michael Steen to 148 months in prison for supplying the fentanyl that led to a 33-year-old Ramona woman’s fatal overdose on July 9, 2018.

On March 4, 2020, Steen pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute Fentanyl, and admitted he sold more than 500 grams of what he knew to be fentanyl in 2018.

Jamestown woman pleads guilty to selling meth

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent in Charge Ray Donovan, and U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that Tracey Wynn, 38, of Jamestown, NY, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute, and distributing, 500 grams or more of methamphetamine. The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum of life, and a $10,000,000 fine.

Operation LeGend results in 97 arrests to date, including five murder suspects

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – U.S. Attorney Tim Garrison announced today that 97 arrests have been made by local and federal law enforcement officers in less than two weeks since the launch of Operation LeGend.

“This is the impact of a targeted initiative to reduce violent crime, carried out by local and federal law enforcement working together,” Garrison said. “Many of those who were arrested were illegally carrying firearms or illegal drugs. By bringing them to justice, we reduce the level of violence on the street and the threat of crime in our neighborhoods.”

Kansas City felon charged with illegal firearm

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Kansas City, Missouri, man was charged in federal court today for illegally possessing a firearm that was found in his vehicle along with his infant son.

Gary Dorch, 26, was charged with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm in a criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Mo.

Today’s complaint alleges that Dorch was in possession of a Glock .40-caliber pistol on July 27.
