Estherville, Iowa, Police Officer Honored for Commitment to Drug Abuse Prevention

ESTHERVILLE, IOWA - An Estherville, Iowa, police officer is being honored by the United States Attorney’s Offices for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for his commitment to reducing drug abuse.  The recipient of the Enrique S. Camarena Award is Captain Nathaniel Dunlavy of the Estherville Police Department.

Cuba man sentenced for meth trafficking following high-speed police chase

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Cuba, Missouri, man has been sentenced in federal court for methamphetamine trafficking following a high-speed police chase.

Shannon L. Brim, 33, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Roseann Ketchmark on Monday, Jan. 25, to 14 years in federal prison without parole.

On Sept. 20, 2020, Brim pleaded guilty to one count of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

Ten Jersey City men charged with conspiracy to burglarize more than 40 pharmacies

NEWARK, N.J. – Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division Susan A. Gibson, and Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, Rachael A. Honig announced today ten Jersey City men have been charged for their roles in a pharmacy burglary conspiracy that victimized at least 40 pharmacies in northern New Jersey in a three-month span.

Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force receives over $132,800 forfeiture award from U.S. Department of Justice as a result of dismantling fentanyl-laced pill drug trafficking ring in the Tri-City area

KENNEWICK, Wash., --  Frank A. Tarentino, Special Agent in Charge of the Seattle Field Division of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and William D. Hyslop, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington presented the Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force with $132,876 in asset forfeiture equitable sharing funds.

Largest seizure of methamphetamine and heroin in Dallas, Texas history

DALLAS - United States Drug Enforcement Administration agents in Dallas, Texas, have launched an investigation following the seizure of approximately 1,950 pounds of methamphetamine that was secreted in the bed of a refrigerated tractor-trailer.  The discovery came following a traffic stop in Denton County, Texas, on October 8, 2020.  During the stop, a narcotics detection canine provided a positive alert to police for the presence of an odor of drugs.  Further inspection of the trailer found methamphetamine within the false floor.

Passaic County man admits participating in heroin conspiracy

NEWARK, N.J. – Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division Susan A. Gibson and Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Rachael A. Honig announced a Passaic County, New Jersey, man today admitted conspiring to distribute heroin and to distributing a quantity of heroin.
