Essex County Man Indicted for Operating Heroin Mill

NEWARK, N.J. – Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division Susan A. Gibson, and Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Rachael A. Honig announced a federal grand jury today indicted an Essex County, New Jersey, man for narcotics offenses for operating a large-scale heroin mill out of his apartment.

Vallejo Man Sentenced to over 10 Years in Prison for Methamphetamine Offense

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Joseph McCready Tomson, 30, of Vallejo, was sentenced Thursday to 10 years and three months in prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott and Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent in Charge Daniel C. Comeaux announced.

Justin King Named DEA Omaha Division Special Agent in Charge

OMAHA, Neb., – Justin C. King was named Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Omaha Division in January and beginning Feb. 1, he oversees 11 offices within a five-state territory. The third SAC of the Omaha Division, King replaces Richard Salter Jr., who retired from the DEA in January.

Oklahoma based Non-Profit Organization “Light of Hope” receives national award

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – DEA Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Eduardo A. Chavez of the Dallas Field Division announced that the Claremore, Oklahoma-based non-profit organization “Light of Hope” (LOH) has been named one of two 2020 DEA National Community Drug Prevention Award winners.  In addition to the national recognition, LOH received a plaque and a check for $2,000.00 from the DEA.

Waterbury man sentenced to four years for role in heroin and cocaine trafficking ring

HARTFORD, Conn. – DEA New England Division Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Boyle and John H. Durham, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, today announced that Jeffrey Tavarez, 22, of Waterbury, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Vanessa L. Bryant in Hartford to 48 months of imprisonment, followed by four years of supervised release, for his role in a heroin and fentanyl trafficking ring.

Philadelphia Man Admits Role in Fentanyl Distribution Conspiracy

CAMDEN, N.J. – Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division Susan A. Gibson, and Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Rachael A. Honig announced a Philadelphia man today admitted his role in a fentanyl distribution conspiracy.

Ronal Alberto Hernandez Pinales, 26, pleaded guilty by videoconference before U.S. District Judge Noel L. Hillman to an information charging him with conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl.

Passaic County Man Sentenced to 63 Months in Prison for Role in Fentanyl Conspiracy

NEWARK, N.J. – Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division Susan A. Gibson, and Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Rachael A. Honig announced a Passaic County, New Jersey, man was sentenced today to 63 months in prison for conspiring to distribute fentanyl and distributing fentanyl.
