Army Doctor Indicted For Illegally Distributing Oxycodone

BALTIMORE, MD. - A federal grand jury has indicted Dr. Joffre Erwin Robalino, 43, of Columbia, Maryland, for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute oxycodone. The indictment was returned on June 1, 2011, and unsealed yesterday at Dr. Robalino’s initial appearance. Dr. Robalino was arrested last night. At his initial appearance today Chief U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul W. Grimm ordered that Robalino be released on home detention with electronic monitoring under the supervision of U.S. Pretrial Services.

FARC Associate Sentenced In Manhattan Federal Court To 15 Years In Prison For Providing Material Support To A Foreign Terrorist Organization


NEW YORK, NY. - Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Division United States Drug Enforcement Administration John P. Gilbride and United States Attorney PREET BHARARA for the Southern District of New York, announced that JUANITO CORDOBA-BERMUDEZ, an associate of the 57 Front of the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de ("FARC"), a U.S. designated foreign terrorist organization, was sentenced yesterday in Manhattan federal court to 15 years in prison for conspiring to provide material support to the FARC.

Drug Trafficker Gets 12-Year Prison Sentence

PHILADELPHIA, PA. - Hlateef Darlington, 28, of Whitehall, PA, was sentenced today to 12 years in prison, by U.S. District Court Judge Paul S. Diamond, on charges related to drug trafficking, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger.

Baldwin Pharmacist Charged With Knowingly Doling Out Painkillers Through Phony Prescriptions Chowdhury’s Arrest Stems From Investigation Into Where Kayla Gerdes Obtained Drugs


MINEOLA, NY. - Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Division United States Drug Enforcement Administration John P. Gilbride and Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice announced today the arrest of a Baldwin pharmacist for filling dozens of prescriptions for addictive painkillers, despite knowing that the prescriptions he was filling were forged and written on stolen prescription pads.

Former Lawyer Sentenced In Marijuana Grow House Case

PHILADELPHIA, PA. - Richard K. Creamer, 39, of Philadelphia, was sentenced today to five years in prison for conspiracy to manufacture 1,000 or more marijuana plants and maintaining a place for the manufacture of controlled substances, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. Creamer, who was a practicing attorney, was convicted in December 2010 after a jury trial in connection with the establishment and operation of a marijuana grow house located inside a warehouse that Creamer owned in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.

Two Sentenced For Heroin Offenses

FRESNO, CA - Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent in Charge Anthony D. Williams and United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced today that Fabio Cazares-Zamora, 37, of Modesto, and Abundio Hernandez, 45, of Oakland, were sentenced today by United States District Judge Oliver W. Wanger for heroin trafficking. Cazares-Zamora was sentenced to 14 years in prison and five years of supervised release for conspiring to import heroin.

Fifth Bakersfield Marijuana Business Employee Sentenced

FRESNO, CA - Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent in Charge Anthony D. Williams and United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced that today United States District Judge Anthony W. Ishii sentenced John Wayne Wyatt, 31, of Bakersfield, to two and a half years in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release for conspiring to distribute marijuana. Wyatt pleaded guilty on November 29, 2010.
