Van Zandt County Man Sentenced For Drug Trafficking And Firearms Violations

TYLER, Texas - A 28 year-old Ben Wheeler, Texas man has been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking and firearms violations in the Eastern District of Texas, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston today.

Corey Lance Parish pleaded guilty on May 16, 2017, to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.  Parish was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge Thad Heartfield.

Dallas Man Who Maintained GHB Lab And Methamphetamine Near Elementary School Sentenced To 25 Years In Federal Prison On Firearm And Drug Convictions

DALLAS - Bryce Edward Hansen, 44, of Dallas, Texas, who pleaded guilty in February 2017 to one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and one count of possessing a controlled substance with intent to distribute, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Sam A. Lindsay to 300 months in federal prison.  DEA Dallas Division’s Special Agent in Charge Clyde E. Shelley, Jr. and U.S. Attorney John Parker of the Northern District of Texas made the announcement today.

Eleven Defendants Taken Into Custody Following Early Morning Roundup, A 12th Defendant Still Being Sought By Police

BUFFALO, N.Y. - James J. Hunt, Special Agent in Charge, U.S. Drug Enforcement (DEA), New York Division, Acting U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. and Adam S. Cohen, Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation announced  that a federal jury has returned an indictment charging 12 defendants with conspiracy to distribute one kilogram or more of cocaine. The charge carries mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum of life and a $10,000,000 fine. Charged in an indictment and arrested this morning were:

Long Island Convenience Store Owner And Clerks Arrested For Drug Trafficking

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - A four-count indictment was unsealed today in federal court in Central Islip, New York, charging Osman Ak, Murat Ak and Mehmet Akpinar, with drug trafficking conspiracy and substantive acts of drug trafficking in connection with their sale of controlled substances from 2013 through 2015 at Eyup Gas & Convenience Store, Inc. d/b/a VS Food Mart, in Medford, New York, owned by Osman Ak. The defendants were arrested this morning and their initial appearances are scheduled for this afternoon before United States Magistrate Judge Steven I. Locke.

Crackdown On Methamphetamine Traffickers In Upstate New York

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -  Interstate methamphetamine traffickers and local producers face federal and state charges in a series of cases that resulted in the arrests of 31 people in September.

The announcement was made by James J. Hunt, the Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement (DEA), Acting United States Attorney Grant C. Jaquith, Postal Inspector in Charge Shelly Binkowski, New York State Police Superintendent George P. Beach II and Tioga County District Attorney Kirk Martin.

Detention Ordered For El Paso Defendant Charged In Cocaine/heroin Trafficking Indictment

EL PASO - This afternoon, U.S. Magistrate Judge Anne T. Berton ordered 36 year-old Martin Arody Sanchez Aguirre held without bond pending trial on federal drug trafficking charges. Sanchez Aguirre is one of five individuals indicted earlier this month for trafficking in cocaine and heroin throughout the El Paso area from April 2014 through July 2015 announced United States Attorney Richard L. Durbin, Jr. and Acting Special Agent in Charge Steve Borak, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, El Paso Division.
