BOISE, Idaho - With public participation at an all-time high after four prior events in two years, the Drug Enforcement (DEA) and its national, tribal, and community partners will hold a fifth National Prescription Drug Take Back Day at thousands of sites across America on Saturday the 29th. These Take Back Days give the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs.

Nearly Seven Kilos Of Pure Meth Lands Kyle Man In Prison For Nearly 20 Years

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Jesus Castillo Jr., 40, of Kyle, has been ordered to prison following his conviction of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a large quantity of methamphetamine, Drug Enforcement (DEA) Special Agent in Charge Javier F. Peña and United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced today. Castillo pleaded guilty April 30, 2012.

DEA Atlanta Holds Fifth Nationwide Prescription Drug Take-Back Day September 29, 2012

ATLANTA - With public participation at an all-time high after four prior events in two years, on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Georgians will be able to drop off their expired, unused, and unwanted pills at sites across the state, free of charge, no questions asked. By doing so, they will help prevent drug abuse and theft. This one-day event will make it convenient for the public to rid their homes of potentially dangerous prescription drugs.

SoCal Toy Company Pleads Guilty In Money Laundering Conspiracy

LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles area toy wholesaler, its two owners, and the company’s primary bookkeeper pleaded guilty today to federal charges related to their participation in an elaborate scheme known as a Black Market Peso Exchange, which enables drug trafficking organizations in Mexico and Colombia to launder proceeds from their drug sales.

Seven Arrested In El Paso On Federal Drug Trafficking/Firearms Charges

LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- - Twenty individuals, who allegedly participated in conspiracies to distribute marijuana and cocaine from Mexico in New Mexico, Colorado, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota and Tennessee, and to launder drug proceeds, are charged with drug trafficking and money laundering charges in two federal indictments that were unsealed earlier today by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico.
