Clandestine Laboratory Recertification
This class is intended as an annual refresher for law enforcement personnel who have already been certified through a class that meets the requirements of OSHA 1910.120 (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response).
Just as it is important to stay proficient in police tactics and firearms, clan lab investigators must stay proficient in chemical safety. In this class we will review the relevant topics covered in a traditional 40-hour program, emphasizing current trends and safety topics critical to successfully processing methamphetamine labs.
At the conclusion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the latest clandestine drug lab trends and new developments.
- Meet the recommended guidelines set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for annual refresher training as outlined in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) and EPA 40 CFR 311.
