Fort Wayne Man Pleads Guilty to Possession with Intent to
MAY 06 - (EAST ST. LOUIS, IL) - A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced that JOSE LUIS CALVO-SAUCEDO, age 49, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois, to an indictment charging him with possession with the intent to distribute five (5) kilograms or more of cocaine.
CALVO-SAUCEDO is currently scheduled to be sentenced in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois, at 9:00 a.m. on August 20, 2010. CALVO-SAUCEDO faces a statutory minimum sentence of 10 years imprisonment, and a potential maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a fine up to $4 million and a term of supervised release of at least 5 years.
The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel T. Kapsak.
