Sacramento Gang Member Sentenced to Over 15 Years in Prison
“G MOBB” Gang Member Nicholas Rapier Sentenced for Dealing Crack Cocaine

NOV 21 - (SACRAMENTO, Calif.) - United States Attorney McGregor W. Scott and Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent in Charge Javier F. Peña, announced today that NICHOLAS RAPIER, 33, of Sacramento, Calif., was sentenced today by United States District Judge Morrison C. England to 188 months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release. RAPIER pleaded guilty to distributing cocaine base, known as “crack” cocaine, on May 15, 2008.

This case is the product of an extensive investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Sacramento Police Department.

According to Assistant United States Attorney Jason Hitt, who prosecuted the case, RAPIER was a validated member of Sacramento’s “G MOBB” street gang with an extensive criminal history of felonies for violent crimes and drug trafficking.

In sentencing him to more than 15 years in federal prison, United States District Judge England said the sentence reflected the need for RAPIER to face the consequences of his poor decisions and his long history of committing serious offenses in the community.
