Fairbanks Woman Sentenced to Federal Prison

NOV 18 -- (Fairbanks, AK) – DEA Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Arnold R. Moorin and the Acting United States Attorney for the District of Alaska, Karen L. Loeffler, announced that on November 14, 2008, Allyse Sharae Daniels, age 37, was sentenced to 92 months imprisonment on her convictions for conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

According to information presented to the court, Daniels was arrested when she received a shipment of 8 kilograms of cocaine from California last November. The shipment was part of an on-going scheme to receive drug shipments for distribution in the Fairbanks area. The 8 kilograms of cocaine had a wholesale value of approximately $250,000, and a street value in excess of $1 million dollars. A co-defendant in the same case, Willie F. Johnson, age 39, of North Pole, was sentenced on August 22, 2008, to 3 years and 10 month’s imprisonment for his role in the conspiracy.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Alaska State Troopers.
