Yung Thug Government Dismantled

DEC 04 -- BOCA RATON – Mark R. Trouville, Special in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Miami Field Division and Dan Alexander, Chief of the City of Boca Raton Police Department announce the dismantlement of a local drug trafficking organization known as the Yung Thug Government (YTG). The year long investigation resulted in 23 arrest warrants and several search warrants for various locations in an area of the city known as Pearl City. Police have filed a total of 177 state criminal charges, including 21 charges for violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act. To date, 12 offenders have been arrested and other wanted subjects are sought. During the investigation, MDMA, Oxycodone, and several weapons were seized and over 40 undercover purchases of crack cocaine were made. The YTG also bragged about their illegal activities on the social website “MySpace”. This operation is ongoing and additional arrests and seizures are anticipated.
