California Cocaine Supplier Sentenced in Jacksonville

JUN 27 -- Jesus Sanchez was sentenced to 150 months imprisonment, in the Middle District of Florida, for distributing more than 150 kilograms of cocaine in the Jacksonville, Florida area. Sanchez, who resides near Los Angeles, California, was linked to a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) seizure of more than 40 kilograms of cocaine in February 2006, representing one of the largest cocaine seizures in Jacksonville DEA history. After a lengthy investigation, Sanchez and Oscar Davalos were indicted by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Jacksonville. Sanchez and Davalos both pled guilty in December 2007. Davalos' sentencing is pending.
According to court documents, Sanchez and Davalos were responsible for bringing more than 150 kilograms of cocaine into Jacksonville from August 2005 through February 2006. The drug trafficking organization was also linked to operations in Arizona, Chicago, Atlanta and Louisville.
