Hillsborough County School Teacher Arrested

During the week of June 12, 2006, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Tampa District Office Task Force, in conjunction with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Hillsborough County school teacher Lisa Marie Dotter for Trafficking in Cocaine. Dotter has been employed as a Special Education teacher at Eastbay High School in Apollo Beach, FL for approximately six years. Omar Runako Philip was also arrested for Possession and Delivery of Cocaine and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.

On June 14, 2006, DEA and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office executed a federal search warrant at Dotter’s residence and seized approximately 4.5 ounces of cocaine. On June 15, 2006, Philip was arrested when he attempted to deliver cocaine to Dotter.

“DEA has zero tolerance for drug traffickers, especially those who work with and around our children,” said Mark R. Trouville, Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Miami Field Division. “The DEA is committed to working with our local counterparts in combating the drug dealers who stalk this community and endanger the welfare and safety of our children.”
