6 Arrests Net Drugs and Weapons
Numerous Firearms, Stolen Property, and Dynamite Recovered

JAN 20 -- Grand Junction – Jeffrey D. Sweetin, Special Agent in Charge (SAC), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Rocky Mountain Division announced today that on January 18, 2006, the DEA Western Colorado Drug Task Force went to arrest one person on a warrant, but in the process netted four other wanted people and discovered dynamite and seven firearms. The task force agents went to 419 Belford Avenue, Grand Junction, to arrest Jennifer Krantzer, 25, wanted on a $150,000 warrant for drug distribution charges. Task Force agents noticed a motor home parked in the yard of the residence. Adam Marland, 25, the owner of the motor home, signed a consent-to-search form allowing agents to search the motor home.

Agents discovered suspected methamphetamine, seven guns, including one stolen handgun and a stick of dynamite inside of the motor home.

Agents arrested four additional people: Jason Payne, 22, and Sean Handley, 33, on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and providing false information; and Samantha Shepherd, 21 and Adam Fielding, 27, for various outstanding warrants.

Marland was booked into jail on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance while in possession of numerous firearms, explosives, drug paraphernalia, and stolen property.
