Chicago Hosts the 2006 Combined Law Enforcement
The DEA Chicago Field Division celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by hosting the Combined Law Enforcement Hispanic Heritage Committee Awards. The Combined Law Enforcement Hispanic Heritage Committee is comprised of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in the Chicago area. Every year the Committee recognizes individuals that make significant and positive contributions as role models in the Hispanic community. This year, the Raleigh J. Lopez Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to US District Judge Ruben Castillo. Additional awards were presented for contributions in law enforcement, community service and two scholarships awarded to Hispanic students.
