Administrator Cole’s Statement Following Major Fentanyl Seizures that Took Millions of Lethal Doses off the Streets of New York
“Today, we recognize the extraordinary work of the DEA New York Task Force Division and the New York City Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s Office, which removed 42.5 kilograms of fentanyl from the streets of New York City this week and dismantled a fentanyl production lab. These seizures represent nearly 2.2 million lives potentially saved from this weapon of mass destruction. This is truly what saving American lives looks like. It exemplifies the very best of public service – protecting lives, upholding the law, and standing firm against those who threaten the United States. Every seizure, and every arrest brings us closer to achieving a Fentanyl Free America.”
