Pennsylvania Man Indicted For
Cocaine, Marijuana

JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI: Preston L. Grubbs, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration St. Louis Division Office, and Todd P. Graves, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Braddock, Pennsylvania, man was indicted by a federal grand jury today for possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana.

Chico Allen Roberts, Sr., 29, of Braddock, was charged in a three-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Jefferson City.

Count One of the federal indictment alleges that Roberts possessed with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine on January 17, 2006, in Callaway County, MO.

Count Two of the federal indictment alleges that Roberts possessed with intent to distribute marijuana on January 17, 2006, in Callaway County.

Count Three of the federal indictment is a forfeiture count, which would require Roberts to forfeit to the government any property derived from the proceeds of the alleged violations, including a 1994 Trailmobile trailer and $2,339.

Graves cautioned that the charges contained in the indictment are simply accusations, and not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charges must be presented to a federal trial jury, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jim Lynn. It was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
