DEA to Take-Back Prescription Drugs on Saturday
SEP 23 -- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Agent in Charge Ava A. Cooper-Davis will be available to speak to the media on Saturday, September 25, 2010 about the DEA National Prescription Take Back Initiative and the problem of prescription drug abuse in our communities. SAC Cooper-Davis will be available between 10:30 -11:00 AM.
The “Take-Back” initiative seeks to prevent increased pill abuse and theft. DEA and other partners will be collecting potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction at sites throughout the nation and state on Saturday, September 25, 2010, from 10 A.M – 2 P.M local time.
