Saline County Individual Sentenced To 262 Months In Federal Prison For Possession With The Intent To Distribute Crack Cocaine
MAY 3 -- (BENTON, IL) - A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced that on April 30, 2010, EDWARD L. FLETCHER, JR., age 50, of Harrisburg, Illinois, was sentenced in United States District Court in Benton, Illinois. FLETCHER, who had previously pled guilty to a one-count indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, was sentenced to 262 months’ imprisonment, 8 years’ supervised release, and was fined $300.
The violation took place on March 30, 2009, in Williamson County. The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and Marion Police Department.
The case was assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Amanda A. Robertson for prosecution.
