Carbondale Man Sentenced for Role in Crack Cocaine Conspiracy
FEB 21 -(BENTON, IL) - A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced that on February 19, 2010, RAYMOND D. WOOLEY, a/k/a “Dub,” age 25, of Carbondale, Illinois, was sentenced in United States District Court in Benton, Illinois. WOOLEY, who had previously pled guilty to a one-count indictment charging him with conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine, was sentenced to 132 months’ imprisonment, 5 years’ supervised release, and was ordered to pay a fine of $500.
The investigation was conducted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Murphysboro Police Department, Illinois State Police, Southern Illinois Enforcement Group, Carbondale Police Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
The case is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Amanda A. Robertson for prosecution
