Fairview Heights Man Pleads Guilty to Distribution of Crack Cocaine
JAN 25- (EAST ST. LOUIS, IL) - A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced that MODJET BROWN, age 29, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, pled guilty on Friday, January 22, 2010, in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois, to two counts distribution of cocaine.
BROWN is currently scheduled to be sentenced in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois at 3:30 p.m. on April 30, 2010. BROWN faces a statutory minimum sentence of 5 years imprisonment, and a potential maximum sentence of 40 years imprisonment, a fine up to $2 million and a term of supervised release of at least 4 years.
The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel T. Kapsak.
