Chicago Man Sentenced on Federal Drug Charges
OCT 29 -- (DAVENPORT, IA) - On October 27, 2008, Tommy J. Brown, age 20, formerly of Chicago, Illinois was sentenced by United States District Court Judge John A. Jarvey to 80 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession with the intent to distribute at least 50 grams of cocaine base, announced United States Attorney Matthew G. Whitaker.
Brown was arrested on October 9, 2007 and pled guilty on January 16, 2008. Brown was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release after his imprisonment and pay an assessment of $100 to the Crime Victim Fund.
This case was prosecuted in the United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Iowa.
This investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Davenport Police Department.
