Springfield Meth Dealer Gets 63 Months in Prison
FEB 22 -- (Eugene) – DEA Acting Special Agent in Charge Mark Thomas and the United States Attorney for the District of Oregon, Dwight C. Holton announced that on February 16, 2010, Ana Laura Guzman was sentenced to 63 months in prison for the crime of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Following her release from prison, Guzman will be on supervised release for a period of five years.
Guzman, 24, of Springfield, Oregon, was arrested on November 14, 2008, following a long-term investigation involving Guzman and her co-conspirator, Jose Michel-Capristo. Guzman assisted and facilitated Michel-Capristo in distributing methamphetamine. Michel-Capristo was sentenced on January 5, 2010 to 14 years in prison.
The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Lane County Interagency Narcotics Team investigated the case.
