Tuscon Man Gets 9 Years in Prison for Selling Meth
SEP 30 -- TUCSON, Ariz. – Brandon Davenport, 29, of Tucson, was sentenced on September 24, 2008 by U.S. District Judge Frank R. Zapata to nine years in federal prison for Possession With Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.
Davenport was arrested in December 2005 after negotiating a methamphetamine sale with an undercover agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration. Davenport delivered a total of four ounces of the drug to the undercover agent and had agreed to provide an additional quantity of methamphetamine before he was arrested. He pleaded guilty in April 2008.
The investigation in this case was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Tucson. The prosecution was handled by Carin C. Duryee, District of Arizona, Tucson.
