Hash Indicated on Oxycontin Charged
APR 13 -- BOWLING GREEN, KY - Candace G. Hill, United States Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky, announced today that a federal grand jury in Bowling Green returned an indictment on April 7, 2010, against Brian M. Hash, age 29, of Campbellsville, Kentucky. Hash was charged with possessing the powerful opiate painkiller Oxycontin, with intent to distribute it.
The Indictment alleges that on September 24, 2009, Hash was found in possession of multiple Oxycontin pills, and intended to distribute them to others.
In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are 20 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of 3 years.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney J. Scott Davis, and it was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Hash is scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on April 21, 2009, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
