New Britain Man Convicted Of Cocaine Distribution Is Sentenced
DEC 18 -- June W. Stansbury, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration in New England and Kevin J. O’Connor, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that WILLIE VAZQUEZ, 33, of Whiting Street, New Britain, was sentenced yesterday, December 17, by Senior United States District Judge Peter C. Dorsey in New Haven to approximately two months of imprisonment, time already served, and three years of supervised release, the first six months of which VAZQUEZ must spend in a half-way house. On April 24, 2007, VAZQUEZ pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of cocaine.
According to documents filed with the Court and statements made in court, on November 21 and November 28, 2006, VAZQUEZ and a co-defendant engaged in two separate narcotics transactions, each involving approximately 3.5 grams of cocaine.
This case was investigated by the New Britain Police Department and the Hartford Resident Office of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
